About Mary Ellen P. Smith
Mary Ellen P. Smith has practiced for 16 years in the area of business and commercial litigation. She has focused her practice on representing businesses and individuals with contractual disputes primarily concerning commercial, construction, and property matters. Ms. Smith has extensive experience in property liens and post-judgment collection issues including work under the Uniform Enforcement of Judgments Acts for both sister-state and international judgments. She advises and represents clients in the formation and maintenance of business entities. Ms. Smith has successfully advocated on behalf of businesses and individuals in a wide variety of disputes in state and federal courts throughout Texas. She is licensed to practice law in Texas and Oklahoma. She has represented clients nationwide as well as clients based outside of the United States.
Ms. Smith previously worked for a small firm in Dallas focusing on collections, property and construction defect disputes. Ms. Smith has since broadened her practice to include Homeowner’s Association disputes, Title disputes, transactional work and representation of international clients.
Ms. Smith lives with her husband and two children in Dallas, Texas.
